The optimal working temperature of a panel for glue pull repairing is 75 - 85°F.
We recommend heating a panel to 120°F for glue pull repairs. This ensures that moisture and humidity are removed from the panel to ensure proper tab adhesion. The heating process also slightly softens the metal allowing dents to be pulled easier and prevent it returning to the damaged state.
Before adhering, tabs and making a pull, the metal should be allowed to cool down to the ideal working range of 75 - 80°F. When working in warmer climates or in direct sunlight, use a cold, damp towel to cool the panel followed by a quick flash with a heat gun to remove the humidity.
We recommend using an infrared thermometer to ensure proper panel temperatures.
