How Long Do Glue Pull Tabs Last?

The useable life of a glue pull tab varies significantly based on its size, material and technique used to pull. The average lifespan of a GPR tab across all manufacturers is around 90 days. Larger tabs like SuperTabs® have a longer life expectancy compared to smaller tabs such as Dead Center® Finishing Tabs.

Manufacturers use a variety of materials for their glue tabs which greatly impacts tab life expectancy. Tabs with a more flexible material—such as Keco’s blue line of tabs—typically last longer than equivalent tabs made of a more rigid material like Keco’s ice line of glue tabs.
